About this calculation

Two tools in one: count the business days between two dates, or find the date that falls a given number of working days after a start date.

A business day here means Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. Public holidays are not excluded, because they vary by country and year — keep that in mind for tight statutory deadlines.

Typical uses: shipping and delivery estimates, contract notice periods, invoice payment terms such as "net 30 business days", and project scheduling.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a business day?

Monday through Friday, excluding weekends. Many businesses also exclude public holidays, which this tool does not do by default.

Is the start date included?

When counting between two dates, both endpoints are included if they fall on a weekday. When adding N working days, the start date is not counted — the tool begins counting from the next day.

Why is "net 30" not always 30 business days?

In practice "net 30" usually means 30 calendar days. If your contract says business days, confirm it in writing — the difference can be six weeks or more.

Can I exclude my country's holidays?

Not yet. A holiday list by country is on the roadmap. For now, subtract the holidays that fall inside your range manually.
